Fine Tunes Ring
This ought to come standard with DW drums. The extra straight leg touching the floor cancels out sustain a little or a lot, depending on how you adjust the dial on top of the leg (by that black thing in the picture). It's great because my DW toms ring for 15 seconds and that's too long for my tastes, so I plied the heads with Moongels. Now the Moongels are gone and with a simple twist of the dial, physics dictate how much sustain I get. It really works well and can be adjusted on the fly too. You only need 1 of these per floor tom. Buy it!
