This patented system allows your toms to resonate freely, maximizing the tonality while keeping the drum securely in place. And the 45-degree back-cut bearing edge minimizes contact with the drumhead, which allows the head and the shell to resonate more freely for incredible sound.
HVX Maple shells
The Performance Series HVX shells blend horizontal, vertical, and diagonal plies of hand-selected North American hard rock maple (eight in total) and are voiced to give you solid low mids with a lot of punch and articulation. You'll find that these drums offer resonance and projection that's perfect for live performance. The maple shells give your sound definition and great response.
