Gretsch Renown Series Drums have the celebrated 7-ply maple shells, Silver Sealed, which look and sound every bit as glorious as they have for the past 15 years.

What's new in the RN2s are the USA classic features:

302 hoops and bass drum-mounted tom holder

Redesigned black round badges

New Hoops are 3mm thick, the 302s are every bit as thick as the former die-cast hoops. Only they're less rigid for better flex, which offers more of that classic Gretsch open-y goodness.

Modern 302s are rounded over, too, so they're easier on sticks than legacy 302s.
