I am 60 years old and have been playing most of my life. I have had dozens of sets over the years, covering most of the major brand names. Yamaha hardware is expensive, and if you have the money, that's fine. You could do just as well for half the price elsewhere. I needed this stand so it fits a little better within the circle between my double kick pedal....It is a good heavy duty stand with a small footprint......I gave it three stars due to the price.
